@bart, get a life buddy SE don't care. It's the same damn hardware

The W800 is only more expensive due to the bigger mem card and music cable. In fact it's cheaper to actually buy a w800 than a k750 and those extras.

This is SONY ericsson - u think they wouldn't launch legal action against cruiser, davinci and the like if they had a major problem with what's going on? If SE don't care, why is it such a bad thing?

Well what about laws against trying to sell the same thing twice (ok with minor software enhancements) to make more money.

There is noting different except the flight mode right? The picture and video recording quality remain the same? This message was posted from a K750

hmm. im interested in getting W800 housing but im not confident about fitting it myself without knackering the phone.

Questions: anyone out there who can do it? anyone on ebay?
Is the casing a genuine Sony Ericsson casing or is it cheap third party imitation?

@Phantasm4489 there is no law against selling something twice. Obviously the warranty is void as the item is 2nd hand on it's second sale.

To sell it as an original W800 would be illegal, since that's a lie, but to sell it as a K750 that has been converted to a W800 is completely up front. Besides no one here is talking about selling it -they are talking about converting it for their own use. No one is trying to deceive anyone....

yes i'm assuming that also, but do you know for sure or are you also making that assumption? It's just I've heard the W800 doesn't have an active lense..

thanks..
