ok well the W800 went back to vodafone.

Dont think I'll bother getting another. If my daughter wants a K750 I'll get her one of those much cheaper and I have several 512mb memory cards not doing much so its much the same from what I saw.

Not fussed by the W800 (never really was) and less so with vodafone telling me it wasn't branded simply because you can use any MP3 as ringtone when in fact vodafone branded to me means ANYTHING changed from standard

thats probably the shortest I have ever had a phone!

Yep well i also work in a phone shop and most of us have the same opinion as yourselves, especially myself having a k750i. I do believe the activity short cut button the the k750i is must more useful compared to the walkman button, especially when there's a music button at the side of the phone. I also am not a huge fan of the strange white and orange copper colour but i could see how some may like it. All in all its just the k750i with flight mode and a bigger memory stick, nothing really new or worth shouting about.

Thats a very sad news. You just bought the phone and returned it.

Well, I have to agree with Masseur. I had a chance to put my hands on w800i (sold here since this Wednesday) and as I do have k750i already, for me, there is not any point to swap them.

I guess I am a bit different then; I preffer the W to the K
Both colour combination and keyboard layout (Walkman- Activity- button) appeals to me.

All in all I guess it is a matter of taste.

i got mine this afternoon unbranded. wonder, what the play now menu can do for me - have to rtfm ...
the activity menu i have with 'cursor up' movement.
MP3 files, I copied to the memory stick, can be played, if i create a
playlist, if i choose 'interpret' I get the message, that I need to
transfer the files with Disc2Phone ...

It's too bad such a nice phone is wasted on someone who doesn't (can't or won't) appreciate it. I'm glad to hear that you returned it as maybe that will give someone who really wants/likes the phone a chance to own it. If you were never happy with the phone to begin with it doesn't make much sense as to why you bought it in the first place??? As you said... The K750i is cheaper and you like it better. Thus, you should have just got one of those from the get go.

I for one LOVE my W800i and I wouldn't trade it for the world. Different strokes for different folks I guess...
