I am not sure if yours if fake or not...but I did buy one similar to yours and had a damn mission to fit it into my Z800i needed a little bit of a nudge to be honest I think it was fake..
With regards to long life I cant be to bothered to be honest as I am now moving to buying stuff with HDD inside to avoid all this nonsense that comes with memory sticks etc.

Mine is exactly the same description as 007 k750's 512Mb Card. It works fine and fits in perfectly, but I had my doubts when I noticed that the writing on the card is just slightly lop-sided. It works perfectly so hopefully it will stay that way!

I've heard many rumours recently about fake memory sticks from China.. so i got paranoid and all since I did not buy it from a Sony authorized seller. I hope you guys don't get tricked buy naughty sellers! Many would do anything just to sell these days..
Sometimes I feel its better to buy from a Sony Shop or dealer. The extra cost could guarantee the originality and you would feel better too. I know, like me, people with thin wallets often search for cheaper products; would that pay off if it turns out to be fake?? you'll have to waste your time crying to buy another one and it will obviously be from a Sony store.
Just watch out you guys.. I heard the fake ones live up to 4 months.. and they die.. I got a 1GB sony mms hispeed pro duo.. and I hope its not fake!
