Maybe a slave flash would work. Slave flashes sense the flash from the primary flash then fire to add light. I'm not sure if the flash on the phone is strong enough to trigger a slave though. and you would have to hold it in your hand which would be a bit silly

No, since the K750 doesn't have a flash. The camera light brightens about 1 second before the picture is actually captured, by which time the slave flash will already have fired.
If the slave flash can have a delay set, and you can work out the exact time that the K750 light brightens before capturing, you might be able to get it, but I expect the timing will be too difficult to get just right.
