@goldenface, just last night i was enjoying Chicken masala, a punjabi dish at home...
Today morning i come across this site.
I won't be eating non veg from now onwards. Since We have other options.
They eat dogs, we eat chicken. I don't see any difference.

i think you can still eat meat and be against cruel treatment of animals.
yes all the meat we eat comes from an animal that was killed and therefore probably suffered in the process but that is a far cry from torturing animals.
i admit to being a hypocrit but there is a sliding scale of suffering, from treatment seen in the pictures (which is cruel no matter what animal it is done to) to putting an animal to sleep and then killing it.
eat free range meat if can't give it up and as little processed meat as possible.

fair enough but look at them some time cos even if it doesn't change your mind you should know where your food comes from or just so as not to be ignorant if you choose to comment on this issue

@786, you are free to eat whatever you like... no one is forcing you.
I just want people to remember, whenever one eats meat, there's one creature which has lost its right to live. A life forcibly taken away..
also, @786, Since you do not subscribe to my views and do not agree why are you trying to post your sadist-like comments here?

I can definitely see a difference.
Dog = noble creature which has been domesticated by humans, useful for companionship, security, hunting, life-saving, guiding the blind, sniffing out explosives and drugs, working with police to apprehend criminals, etc.
Chicken = gormless creature with a tiny brain useful for stuffing pillows and laying eggs for throwing at people.
Have you ever heard of a chicken saving someones life?
Jumping into the sea to save someone?
Have you ever seen a sign say
Beware of the Chicken?
Have you ever seen a chicken wrestle a prison escapee to the ground?
Can you not see a difference there?
I can, he he he.
I know what you are getting at though.

@goldenface!
Funny...
But i am serious here...
I was a total non vegetarian who couldn't do without it...i hate vegetarian food..even now..but now my conscience doesn't allow me to eat other animals.
I am not trying to be a saint here.. just telling you whom i consider my friends what i feel!
(Esato is like a second home to me!)
