I found my battery life increased when I took the flip off. I think the opening and closing of the flip causes some processing resource that the flip off mode doesn't.

Thats ancient firmware.....get it updated... it does make a difference

And for a battery to last for a day....day and a half max....with regular usage of multimedia, gprs and calls/texts is not unusual for a P910i....the big screen display eats up most of it......another tip...reduce the brightness level of the screen in the display options....that should help conserve some battery life
