As I see it, the (possible) lack of T9 may be the only reason why I wouldn't buy it. Oh, and the fact that it's not out yet
can any1 confirm this?

You forget one thing:
7650 is also 2+2! Definitely faster to send MMS!
Anyway:
7650 is available.
P800 is not.
Check the 7650 review from

I asked SE Sweden about the T9, they didn't give me an direct answer yes or no. They explained the handwriting recognition and touch screen, but avoided everything about T9.
Could it be that they've forgotten it? If it had T9, I'm quite sure they would say so. And it's not mentioned in the white papers either...

P800 can hit UPload speeds of 50K and DOWNload speeds of about 115K... P800 GPRS speeds are limited by network... 7650 GPRS speeds are already at max.

Does P800 have speakerphone or not finally ?
I hink that it is a rather important matter...

I phoned SE in the UK and they said it will have T9 upon final release. We shall see.
Might go down to CPW Oxford St again today or tomorrow and have another look at the P800, anyone got any questions about it that I might be able to investigate?
(The early version they have doesn't have T9 as far as I can tell).

They're both limited by network...
As far as I know, there are mandatory features to be in a GPRS phones, among which the coding schemes which set the speed over the air.
The fastest reaches a speed of 21.4 kilobits per second (CS4) for data, per timeslot.
The 115kilobits per second is then definitely bullsh*t!

I'm not an expert at this. Could you explain how that would be possible? If I have 1 timeslot, surely that must be slower than 2?
And the network limitates both of these, I believe the speed in one slot is 13,4 here in Sweden.
That means a download of max 53,6 and upload of max 13,4 for P800, and max dl 40,2 max ul 26,8 for 7650.
