Hi... get a handphone wrap for your phone...It's kinda a new trend here in Singapore. It helps to protect your phone from mucky hands, sweat and even scratches up to 7 years!!!...the best thing is you can remove it freely without any marks... works for me... This here is my 2 weeks old W800...not a scratch! Got it from

had my w800i for a good 3 months now. daily usage, often with dirty hands - had no problems what-so-ever, it just wipes clean! the guy in the vodaphone shop was talking crap. unfortunately you really can't trust a word shop assistants say these days as they rarely give proper impartial advice, which is a real shame! their main incentive is to sell you the phone that makes them the most money - they are not bothered about providing you with a phone that best suits your needs/desires! so in my book if you like the looks of the w800i then go for it as the white colour does not appear to be degrading with time at all!

I have had mine for a week now and I got it a bit dirty from below, but a quick wipe with a dry cloth brought it back to shining new. I am sure its not normal material, definitely something different and good!

Hi mate. I have both the 750 and the 800. I love them both. The 800 does come with better headphones and more memory so its probably worth choosing the 800 on that basis alone.
Like everyone else on here...i find no problems with the 800 getting dirty. Its easy to wipe clean and i,ve had mine for 4 weeks now.

I've had lots of phones that looked like phones and some that looked out of the ordinary, but the w800i is in a class of its own. I thought about the k750 but I am really glad I went for the W800i, it is so beautifully made and a joy to use.
The K750 looks like a phone, but if you are a business user sometimes that is all you want, but if you want a phone that gives you pleasure every time you look at it buy the W800i.

I'll also comment on my W800i that I have had now for about 2 months. I ALWAYS keep mine in my front pocket and since I work on machinery at my job, I sometimes handle it with greasy hands. However, the phone wipes clean with no problem.
The screen is also rather resistant to scratching. Of course, I never put keys, or change in the same pocket that I have the phone in, that would definitly scratch it up, but for daily use, it has held up really well, looks almost as good as it did when it was new.
The only problem area I have is the chrome ring around the camera lens. Since the lower part of the ring contacts whatever surface you have the phone laying on, the chrome is wearing off a little at that area, but it's not that noticeable. Also, the door for the memory card is a rubber type material, and when it gets dirty, it stays that way, but no big deal.
The cream color part of the phone has a hard surface, not the spongy type that you observed on the display model, so it will wipe clean.
I am very impressed with the W800, and this is the first
phone I have ever owned (all my others were Nokia. I am now a
kinda guy).
This phone does everything I would want, and will serve me for a long time.
Bottom line, get the W800i, you won't regret it!

w800 was the reason i converted from Nokia to SE. I don't regret a thing. The great thing is you don't have to make extra investments - all is already included in the package. Just use all the features, get Opera mini app and enjoy the phone.
