From the SE link above:

All in One
The P910i is a mobile phone. It's a PDA. It's a mobile office, and it's push email ready.

Underneath the sleek and sophisticated exterior you'll find even more smartness and power. A digital and video VGA camera. Keyboard inside flip. A sharp and bright 262K-colour screen.

The P910i smartphone. All in one, the best of everything.

Yes there is an entertainment section talking about games but the PRIMARY purpose is stated in the overview.
If you want to seriously play games - get a games machine - but don't moan about how bad it is at ancil stuff when it does what it's supposed to pretty darn well.
Yes I own one and love it to bits - it's not perfect but then nothing ever is - make the lost of what it CAN do and you'll enjoy it a whole lot more.

i agree with lazarus i think the pseries was a dissapointment as far as gaming was concerned and everyone is having a go at his post because the p910s main functions werent for gaming, but looks like even Sony ericsson thought the same about it or they wouldnt have added the 3d graphics chip or whatever it is in Hermione

I've owned a P910i since april and not a day has gone past without it being on my person, so: yes, I have somewhat of an idea of what a P910i is and what it can and cannot do.

Interestingly, the link you provide does not mention arcade games, until you click on an obscure option. If SE had intended the P910 as an arcade machine, don't you think they would have mentioned it on the main page? Heck, they mention the camera there, and everyone agrees that it isn't that big of a deal.

Take a hint, will ya? SE P-series are business-oriented phones, that also play games. The "also" is the important word here.

Quote: "It is highly irritating when I see my firnds in work with the likes of 6600's and 30's playing away on Sonic or Golden Axe and I cant myself...

I am so irritated that I cannot play these old games on my P910, considering I paid, well my girl nearly paid £400 for it last Xmas....

I am seriously ticked off at this...

Even, the last 2 good games I have saw are Doom and VRALLy.

No more good or original at that games.... "

I suspect that you mean there are no good games that are free!
As for V-Rally and Doom, good? original? how old are these games? Golden Axe??!!?? are you having a laugh?

@frank2345babies

So the inclusion of a 3d graphics accelerator is because SE saw a fault with the P?
Is it not just natural progression, new technology, product improvement?
The technology is now available for the device so now it is included. Simple.
Don't get me wrong, the P isn't perfect, nothing is. I'm not blindly protecting the P and to tell you the truth, I'm not sure I'm that keen on the new P. If there's something that suits my needs better when the time comes to upgrade I will not hesitate to get this instead.

Don't tell me you spent $500 whatever your currency is just to play good games on your phone... I doubt games were the main concern to a majority of the P910 buyers. SE isn't going to add a joystick or something just to satisfy that 0.1% of buyers like you and disappoint the other 99.9% who may be business/working class people. If you are so unsatisfied, go buy something else.

For me P910 is ALSO good for games there are alot of games out there for the P series that even the series 60's and other Symbian phones can't even come close. Try some of the games by Idreams, Synergenix, Noumena, and others. There are already alot of good games. Doom? There is already LockandLoad. Although I share your interest in old games like in gameboy and snes, we can't really expect for the P series to be able to play these games. Currently the existing emulator available doesn't support the new P910. The best thing is to wait. Who knows there maybe a new version of GoBoy or Edoom or whatever.

Who said 0.1% its more like 0.00000...1% who are not satified with the P910i.lt might not be the best at games but then ......Oh stuff it!This discussion has no end.The P910i does what it was made to do.Wouldnt it make more sense to discuss which phone performs better at applications?

@ the threadstarter. I think some of there replies in this thread is a bit harsh. But when i go to the supermarket i take a long time before cashing. Why? I read almost everything on the label before buying. In other words, i read before i buy. It's time to be realistic, did the review say the P910 was a gaming machine? I doubt it. Sure, You're disappointed but you need to be realistic too This message was posted from a T230
