astrology just maps the energies that are raining down on us, it is not predestiny and it doesn't "predict" events or outcomes. Think about it this way...the sun comes up every day, you cannot stop it. The sun warms, heats, burns, sooths and all these sorts of affects. It can also change the way you feel - it can make you lazy, it can energise, it can give you heat stroke and make you feel grumpy.
But would you say that just because you are affected by the sun, that you have no control over what you do during the day? No of course not. The sun brings certain affects that we can use to make our day easier, or we can dislike those affects and it makes our day harder, but it doesn't determine the outcome of our day. What we do with the energies that rain down on us is up to our human free choice. If you get heat stroke and it makes you grumpy, is it the sun's fault that you punched someone who pissed you off because you where grumpy? The astrological influences are no different to the sun on your face or the wind in your hair. They are just natural forces swirtling around you. It is up to the human to make use of those forces in the way that they suits them best. This is called "wisdom".
Like Sarah Conner scratches in the table in Judgement Day, "no fate". We make our own future by the actions we take using free choice.
That's my thought anyway..

Who is to say that the actions you are taking are of your own free will? Perhaps whatever you do if fate no matter how much you may think that you have free will?
My own view is that each of us has a destiny, which we will fulfill. Free will comes into play in reaching that destiny. We can choose many different paths to reach our destiny, but reach it we will.
