No i bet that's not the case who make them late in delivering phones cos i have a sim free t68 and i do already use this service called duo on my network and they didn't change any software. I just subscribed and after 24 hours i had both lines on 1 sim. This post was posted from a T68i

Yes - line 2 is a sim card feature - but the 68 was made with line 2 software - so thats y u have it - Orange do have a different software version - most operators do - so they can 'lock' the handset & add or take away certain menu's on the phone - ask any UK user & they will say Orange usually take ages to release new handsets - because of this.

Its possible to have two lines. Like in philippines we can use two sim card with different network, for as long as your unit has line 1 and 2. But in most cases nokia cel are the only one that are most capable to have dual sim cuz you can buy the back of the cover that has an installation for the 2 sim card. This post was posted from a T68i

@ porterg

I called T-Mobile 611 last night and the guy said that they don't do this. How did you come across that info?

I know Cingular has "alterate line service," but don't know about T-mobile. Their website doesn't say anything about it. Ask an experienced sales rep at a store. Alot of obscure features like ALS go unknown by newer reps and cust serv reps.

Is an R520 an non-sim phone? If so, it may be possible to program more then 1 # into it. When I worked for an analog carrier, most of the phones were at least dual nam (2 numbers). Some could take 6. But, if you need both numbers available at all times, won't work.

Yeah, I am a psychologist with one phone for personal use and one for clients to call. So, I do need both simultaneously. I was investigaitng and Cingular offers ALS in your market, but not in California. I sure hope that it comes when GSM comes here...oh yeah, R520 is SIM based...it was the first phone with Bluetooth. Its a good one, especially with the special IAT-10 antena
