you need a special cable. SE have one, check the stores.
You can use the cell as a mouse. It's called "Remote Control" do a search of esato you should find heaps of info.

For transferring files, I would suggest you buy a bluetooth adapter. The cable and IR are just slow for transferring, specially large files.

I got a bluetooth adapter but when i transfer a song or something, it takes Forever! 3 minutes per song. It only takes about 6-10 seconds per song via the data cable or putting the card directly into the card reader.
Am i doing something wrong?

You obviously mean K750i right? We're talking about K700i here and there's a huge difference between their transfer speed via cable. K750 uses true USB while K700i uses serial emulation through USB that's why its speed is very slow.

yeah, and you'll need the bluetooth adapter for the remote control function in any case

In the k700 the slow transfer speed isn't that much of an issue since most files going to and from the phone will be tiny. For the K750/W800 with its mp3-walkman-player ambitions and much bigger pictures the transfer speed is a whole different story of course.
Also it needs to be said (again) that the SE-software for handling the connection over bluetooth is unstable and very slow compared to what some student-like people deliver like MyPhoneExplorer or FMA.

true for small files, but I'd rather bluetooth over serial if copying 30MB of music to the K700, which I used to do regularly. Plus if bluetooth is faster, and also wireless, a dongle is virtually a necessity with the K700.

The bluetooth connection make the K700 a strong phone, mostly because of the Outlook-synchronisation and the java.
BTW the MyPhoneExplorer also uses bluetooth over serial (fma can do with native bluetooth) and is really much faster and more stable whereas the SE pc suite often fails to complete the transfer...
(OT: but it works, fortunately, rather well for the synchronising, because network administrators in professional environments tend to trust software from the big names like SE and are ready to install, whereas the - albeit better - software from a whizzkid is distrusted)
