Maybe its a reason why people leave over a period of time : they just lose interest.

and by the way its a mobile phone forum! and between discussing phones its general chit chat that will do for most people.

your right some come back and others dont or dont post. i always think its down to the individual i dont mean this to sound nasty but if a forum does fullfill your needs find one that does.
i use other forums for other interests and come here for phone news (as its all in one place) and certain thread that catch my eye, i dont come here to lick the bum of se and tell everyone how wonderful they are as i m not really that bothered promoting a another multi-national corporation they have a budget (built into the cost of a handset) for that themselves

however there is a difference between different cultures meeting and sharing ideas and interests to plain insults and sniping.
esato has many different areas to discuss many different ideas and ideologies if you dont like them or find them interesting there are many other topics you will.

@slattery: Well said mate. I mostly post on the South African thread as I find most of the discussions on here irrelevant. Maybe one or two threads will catch my attention but most are not worth reading as they're repeats of previous discussions.

esato is in a sense run by the members the ads that help towards the running costs need to be clicked by members and if people dont come to the site then yes esato would disappear.
but to be honest in the nearly 3 years ive been here i ve seen alot f these posts and will probably see a lot more. esato will keep growing if people keep posting and joining, we the members can influenece the style and type of posts. if you require a more stimulating thread or threads start one and see how it grows those interested will join in and those who arent will just avoid it.

The day laffen gets bored of this, he might close down esato.
Also the no. of members - which keeps on increasing everyday - is important in attracting advertisements. So maybe thats why all the members are important here, even though how 'full of crap' they might be.
