Yes, I'm on O2 as well, and upgraded in early Sept. I got charged 150pounds for my P910i, only to find a few weeks alter, they were giving it away for FREE

Anyway, as a trade off for having to pay so much for the phone, they gave the Online 200 ( normally 30gbp per month ) for only 20gbp per month.

I then opted to choose more talk time instead fo teh 500 texts per month pacakge,so my tariff is:

300 any time any network mins
50 texts
0.5mb gprs per month
12 month contract

all for 20 quid a month, so although I paid heavily for the phone, I think its off set pretty well against a tariff I just could not match anywhere else.

I have to give them credit too, I think they are pretty pleasant people to deal with, always helpful and even if they can't resolve your problem, will do their best.
( don't tell them this thouugh, cos next tme I threaten to quit, they'll know I'm bluffing !)

at the moment, the GPRS cost on ALL o2 tariffs is £3 per meg, both contract and PAYG, plus you will get 1 MB free each month

Anyway, charges dont matter to me just yet cause GPRS is free and has always been free. they have in the past sent text to say they were beginning to charge but i have never been charged. its great. It might be different for newer contracts but mine is free, and I hope it lasts that way for a very long time to come.
