they wont send you a new one i can assure you! my k750i broke after 3 weeks and they wanted to palm me off with a refurb, i argued with the supervisor for nearly 20 mins and they wouldnt budge,i ended up sending it to SE direct and the fixed it and posted it back to me.

vodafone customer service is diabolical, ive had nothing but problems since they took over singlepoint who were very helpful and sorted any problems ive had, the first thing ill be doing when my contract runs out is switch networks.

And I can assure you they can. It all depends on how anal the service agent or supervisor you get is. My last s700i was replaced for a brand new handset.

If you do get a refurb, ensure its had new plastics and has been sanitised. Another recent refurb that was delivered included somebody elses pocket lint in the keyboard and a gacked up microphone. I was not best impressed.

If you get what you feel is unhelpful (and usually bordering on insulting) advice, complain. Why give up just because an over-zealous Supervisor says no? Write a long, accurate, letter of complaint to the director of customer services. You will get a call from customer relations pdq. After all, your the customer, and they rely on your repeat business.

If we all can't be arsed to complain, they get the impression what their doing is acceptable, and they'll get away with even worse. If we all complain, then they'll get the idea, hopefully.

mini-rant over.

Got a text this morning saying it's back unrepaired as the damage wasn't covered under warranty. I'll go down to the shop in a bit and find out more but looks like it might be time to try sending to SE (depending on what they say was up with it, if it's something blatantly not under warranty I'll have to use the insurance)...
