As far as I am concerned, I have been sold a stolen phone without knowledge, and thus I wan't my money back. This should go back as far as the phone was bought, and it is the responsibility of each person to contact the person they bought it off for a refund.
So I will be pressing Handy to refund Alton, to refund me, as it's clearly the correct thing.
Otherwise the Police will be involved.

The phone has been through 4 other people since the original sale and it has been 7 months since HandyMobilez sold it. You think it is fair to him as well if he had nothing to do with it being blacklisted?

No, it's not at all fair, but it is then his problem to trace where he got it from and get the refund from them if it wasn't him who blacklisted it (which I'm not suggesting it is).

I understand that but what if the phone was blocked by someone in the line after he sold it .. as I said, it has been 7 months and 4 different people.
I can see why you are angry but it could have been anyone (before, during or after)
Here comes the disclaimer

: Im not saying it WAS anyone after he sold it but it could have been.
If you had been the original seller and it came back to you after 7 months and 4 buyers I don't think you would put your hand in your pocket just like that .. would you?

Someone from the list of owners needs to contact orange and explain what is going on but more importantly try to find out when the block was implemented and why and by who???
It might be a simple case of someone quoting 1 wrong digit on the imie.
On a side note there are "dongles" available on some sites that can change the imie numbers on phones which although illegal in this country and europe are usable in the far east........as for importing them?????

Orange will only give details to the person who blocked the phone.

I was not suggesting the use of a dongle by anyone, the fact that they are available is wrong in the 1st place, just saying that there are other possiblities for whats gone wrong here. I have been in this situation myself when i purchased a blocked p910 off ebay, luckily for me the seller had his mobile number available and a refund was sorted thru paypal...............but............have noticed that blocked phones are still available on ebay????

Its up to Ebay whether they want to deal in stolen goods but such talk on a public forum such as this can get the owner in serious trouble and in some instances the board has been shut down.
