I believe the answer is YES, cuz since K750 the mid and high-end phone of SE has customizable message alert tone.

my point exactly, i'm looking at the w900i as an upgrade rather then a completely new phone.
i think i'm just gonna wait for a predecessor of the w900i... or the redecessor of the predecessor... (is a predecessor after or before actually?
