in response to meths.... now your are genralising all of us to be the same as you - soem of us dont see it as a dept ridden experience but a joyful time of year, i love seeing my family and girlfriends faces when ive found them something really special and supprised them. not everyone sees it a a commercial event but for what it is - i time for sharing and time for joy! i only buy for people who i want to, i would never waste a penny on a present for someone who i felt wasnt close to me.
Everyone is entitled to their opinion and im sure your choice to not buy and recieve presents is one you have madse based on your views. personally i love crimbo! i love seeing and being with my family and friends! its one of teh best times of the year and offers a lot of people a break from a hectic life!
Bring on christmas, im sure a lot of you are excited as me (and before you ask - im not a 12yr old) im 24 and my sis of 31 comes home for christmas too.... we still wake up at the early hours and enjoy the festive fun! to be honest - if it wsnt for christmas i would see my sister much as we live very far apart - if you like - it brings the family together at least once a year!
Woohoo! i think i just saw santa flying above chacking his route - lol!
Merry crimbo all!

Didnt mean to generalise, as you say its all about what you get from it. I find christmas to be a burden, which it shouldnt be. Sure its great giving presents, and recieving them, but christmas should be about more than that. Ask your average 10 year old what christmas is really about and you'll get a blank look and an answer of "uh...its when all the new cool toys are released"

For me tho, now anyway, i couldnt care if noone bought me a prezzy, i just love suprising my girlfriend and family - theres nothing better than seeing their faces when youve remembered something they said they'd love to have but couldnt afford it at the time.... its a grate feeling to give!
ps, your snake is well cool - i saw that in another post about a week ago! where'd you get it from? (i couldnt have one as i aint sure its the right pet for me) but none the less, its wicked mate, i love the colour of it!

I got it from a local pet shop, had it about 2 and a half weeks - you could say its an early chrimbo present to myself! Verry easy to look after, but as you say, not everyones cup of tea.
