If it's actually a sound wave that is produced, which the phone can pick up and relay, then it may be possible.
However a lot of cars work on radio waves, which won't be transmitted by the phone.

If the car+phone thing works, you can just keep a record of the signal on the phone and use your phone as a key, provided the recorder is able to pick up sound waves of such high frequencies(if they are transmitted in the first place). wish cars used :bt:

for those that use sound I imagine it would use frequency hopping like rf remote locking, so recording the sound on the phone wouldn't necessarily work.
I'd be surprised if too many use sound anyway, most these days are rf.

I also have a bizarre tip
TOTAL SOFTWARE RESET
The T630 of a friend of mine had a total shut down. Software was locked and he couldn’t do anything about it. He told me a friend of him gave him the advice to put the phone in the refrigerator for a while, this would reset the software to point zero (all numbers, photo’s etc. are erased). This “friend” give his advise on the notion of:“ if you have a stolen car-radio putting it in the refrigerator will reset the software”. And guess what, it actually worked. The T630 software had a total reset and the phone is now functional again.
