It depends on the phone.

My Sharp 902 on Vodafone says 'by Sharp' on the top of the screen.

This appears on the standard 902 and also the Ferrari one.

i dont see 3g anywhere mentioned but I found it in the 3g section, if it's not i wish they'd release a worldwide version! the 903 is nice but it's too big (and I dont mind big phones)

I think that the link you posted was not in the 3G section. That section is just above it.

This is the page with the V604sh

and the English equivalent is

none of the phones here have the 3G logo.

and this is the 3G page just above it.

http://www.vodafone.jp/japanese/products/domestic_3g.html

and the English equibalent is

they all have the 3G logo.

The first page, in this posting is - domestic.html which tells me, JDM phones.

The second page is domestic_3g.html
