I took a w600 for a testrun today at work and bluetooth'd over some music videos and mp3s from my w800.. since it has no card slot (thumbs down)
when I played them.. the volume was freaking EAR PIERCING. compared to my w800 with the most up to date firmware.. it blew it out of the water.
I wish my w800 was this loud
it saturates the sound though, its not proper sound quality.
I agree its got that cheap Samsung nokia sound now....

About 3.5-4 bars of W550 is as loud as the full volume of W800 (R1AA008).

wow that is quite amazing, one trick to increase the volume on w800/k750 is to increase the gain on the mp3s. (mp3gain on google). You can make the mp3 as loud as you want, just dont burst your speakers
I used this program because all my mp3s where of different volumes, so had to increase/decrease the volume on my k750 for each song which was annoying...
and i got the k750 3 weeks ago instead of the w550 because of the 1.2M camera (?) instead of the 2M pixels
and the handle looks ugly in my oppinion

I wish a firmware upgrade would sort this low-volume loudspeaker out without causing memory stick and other problems...
