So are you guys saying these are basically different versions? Well i dont think Sony would make different versions. Anyway its going back today and a full refund is heading my way! The guy also told me it was infact from a Hong Kong supplier.

As some ppl say it could be a different manufacturer, however I really don’t know about that. Who knows?, with all sorts of counterfeit products coming out it each day this might well be another fake. That holographic sticker and the rest of the things look a bit suspicious.

Well…. it will work for now but if it is really a fake then it won’t for long. I mean after all, even the fakes ones have to work at least for a while right ? cos otherwise they cant sell if they don’t work at all. If you can get it changed then I suggest you do that. I could be wrong here, but why take the risk ?

also can u take a picture of the back of the cards zoomed @the text?

I looked thru the threads posted here .. and by the looks of it .. both your MSPD cards are fake ... at least the UK one looks really fake

a guy posted in a thread Quote:they are not durable at all.. when mine came.. it worked completely fine for the first 2 days.. then.. all the text at the back starts to come off.. and the card occasionally doesn' read on the PSP and hangs right in the middle of the movie.. and i had to rub it w/ fingers and putting it in and out MANY times before it works again.. then.. after 2 days.. it just completely died#

I'd say the same - I had a genuine UK sony one (bought from scan computers, so it should have been genuine!) - it didn't have a sticker on. One of my friends had one that I thought was fake. It was identical to mine, except the labelling was clearer, and it was all on stickers (like the HK one). This was a cheap eBay memory card.

So either the HK ones have stickers on, or fake ones have stickers on.

Either way, my genuine memory card fried itself, so I returned it and got a SanDisk one instead.

they're certainly different!
look at the one on the left in the 2nd last picture, the 2gb arrow is on the slant yet on the other one it is well away from the slant, and for some reason one of them is smaller!

check the packaging in my local Maplins. And all the 1GB sony sticks are in the 6 glue spot type packaging. Fake? Or just another type of packaging?
