if it's working without any problem there is no need to hurry to upgrade it...
you will not loose anything if nothing happens during the upgrade... but it's always safe to backup your phonebook before...

As Cytec says, do a back up before an upgrade. Just in case anything should happen. Most likely you will be OK, but you never know...
