You want to keep VIPnet as your provider (Vodafone) - that's OK
All you want is to remove ICONs (semi Debrand) - that's OK
You need to Flash with DaVinci (recommended)

You can use your standard cable to flash and semi unbrand your phone
NOTE: I say semi unbrand to let you know that you'll only beable to use your VIPnet (Vodafone) SIM and only their WAP MMS settings.
But I think you'll be happy with that
As long as you Flash with the above setting and also change the CDA you will beable to use SEUS for future update that are free, hopefully without going back to Vodafone icons.
DaVinci will cost you though ~ check it out
