Hi Guys.
Ive now installed the myphone explorer successfully.
However , I cant see any options to do the 2 main thisngs I want to do, which are to upload photos from phone to pc , and to download mp3 from pc to phone.
Should I be able to do this using this software ? All I can see is contacts, files, messages etc . Unfortunatley there doesnt seem to be any help options.
Thanks for any help offerered
(and a happy new year to all )

How on earth did you arrive at that conclusion? It is definitely not "better"! Bluetooth is sllooww...compared to cable!
@whiz, he's using K700i and I'm pretty sure bluetooth is much faster than cable with the K700i because it uses some kind of Serial emulation instead of a real USB. I even think using cable with K700i is just as fast as using IR.
You're probably thinking of K750, W800 or other newer phones.

Can somebody pleases help me ?
Bought the phone several months ago , and Im getting nowhere with usings its facilities.
Ive bought a USB cable, and downloaded Myphone Explorer. However, all I see on Myphone is headings for contacts , calls files etc.
Firstly , how do I get Myphone to see my mobile? I can see settings for com1 etc , how do I know which port is which if thats the place ?
I want to download mp3 files to my phone , but cant see where / how I do this. Is there some sort of guide for beginners on this ? It doesnt look hard to do , but I cant get past step 1 !!

I would use the software that comes with it on the cd (or from the internet). Btw you do have a memory card in dont you, cos most phones aren't too happy about file transfer without a memory card. If you are copying contacts the easiest way is to save them to the sim card. For music I just use Windows. Just attach the phone and browse through the folders until you find Removable disk/MSSEMC/Media files/audio, then just dump all the music into there (check the file type first though).
Easy way to tell if the wire is broken: plug the phone in and see if windows makes that noise that you get when you plug anything in (two beeps). If it does check that you have all the latest drivers for it.

Ok - please help to crack this , as its driving me nutso . This is a popular phone, so others must be downloading stuff to and from it ?
Theres no external memory card in the 700i , three is no obvious method of using the software that came with the phone that I can see (but stand to be corrected).
When I plug the phone in via my usb cable to the pc , I get the Windows double ping , although no icons appear anywhere.
I have tried using MyPhoneExplorer, but it says Phone not found. I have found some settings within that software, that mention Com ports - does that relate to specific usb ports ?
It may just be easier to start me from scratch if needed.
I appreciate anybodys help on this.

Stop the bus - Ive done it !
At least I can synchronise my phone now , using Floats Agent . Have managed to download a couple of photos to my pc - quality is poor - but will check out if thats a setting issue, or thats the way it is , as I realise the mega pixel rate is poor.
Now Im off to try and get some mp3 tunes downloaded to it.
A happy man is me ! (to date ....)
