Yep, there are loads of fakes coming out these days... I think buying online is now becoming a big risk, especially if you import it from overseas.

The Carphone Warehouse are currently selling the Sandisk 2GB Memory Stick PRO DUO for £97.99 in the xmas sale. Dunno if its the same price online, but thats how much it is in shops.

As for Sandisk Vs Sony, I heard that the Sandisk ones come out of the same factory as the Sony ones, and only packaged differently. Dunno how true that is, but I do know that the Sandisk ones are more likely to work after being dropped in water. I speak from experience

The Sandisks are significantly better performers, so I find it hard to believe that they come off of the same production line. Otherwise, they would suffer from the same specs as the Sony MSs...
