So , you are telling us that someone send a file to your pc over bluetooth without first establishing a connection ? Are you sure it was the bluetooth and not your wifi or even more possible the infrared connection ? There is absolutely no way of exchanging any data over bluetooth without your input. Not even a visit card. Never mind a program. If you only understand the basics of a bluetooth connection you will see that what you said is nonsens. I am not even bothering to give you any further advice on how to remove the 'virus'.There is a better chance for your pc to get the 'aids virus' then a s60 one the way how you explain it :-) if you see what I mean.

It is proven that bluetooth has security holes that the comwarrior viruses take advantage of. This appears to be a series60 problem, so se doesn't seem to be affected.

Bang on!!
I've seen the commwarrior spreading like wildfire thru all possible means as mms and bluetooth.. in some cases i get a "receive bluetooth messege from ..." message from a nearby infected s60 device and the surprising thing is that this thing spreads even if the bluetooth is switched off!

Sms is not a way of spreading, e-mail yes but most likely not on mobile phones. BT and mms are the only efective ways of spread. And when wifi gets involved massively it will be a hell for smartphone users. Well maybe not. ;-)

Indeed it does.
I had the chance to disinfect an infected phone recently..
It was affected with the latest version of commwarrior (i forgot the version) and i tried almost all anti virii apps but none of them were able to remove it.. the antivirii shuts down when it scans the affected folders!
Moreover, there's an "Infected with commwarrior" operator logo on the standby screen
And as john said, this even tries to spread through sms ..but since data transfer is not possible thru sms it will only affect your phone bills..

it will anonymously send text messages to a random person from your phonebook..and if you have an active mms acces point..then..you can imagine

but i guess it wasn't able to use the infected phones sms centre number for some reasson , so the poor chap had an outbox full of blank sms that the virus had tried to send..
In the infected phone, i had to manually delete the infected folders after searching for hours and sometimes even that might not work.
