Thanks for that response arnoldc - I'll give it a try. I'm feeling a bit unhappy with the phone at the moment because I don't think it should have as many 'bugs' has it seems to have. I also don't think that there is a service centre close to me so it won't be easy to get the upgrade to R1C.
Anyway, I'll try what you suggested which will hopefully sort the problem.

Ericsson quoted Pocklington as the nearest centre (8 miles east of York) on an email to me!
