but Xmas is the most famous time of year for many! and no definition is needed for that.

@masseur. lets start a topic called "help me my phone is acting weird". its unknown to many at the start. but you would ask them to include more description in there first post right?

Eid Mubarak to all....

Eid is basically a muslims equivilent of Christmas only that Muslims have two Eids a year....the First Eid is Celebrated after the month of Ramadan (fasting) and the second (todays Eid) is celebrated after the completion of Hajj (pilgramage to Mecca in saudia Arabia) and a sacrifice of an Animal is made i.e: mainly a (sheep, goat or cow) and the meat is distributed to the poor and needy aswell as family and friends....I hope that gives a better idea.

@batesie, but you see, to Christians and those who celebrate it or live in a country that celebrates it, yes they know it.
It's the same if you go to a country where there are Muslims who celebrate Eid or Live in a country that celebrates Eid. At the end of the day, you feel like everyone knows Christmas because it's a part of your country and culture, where-as not everyone around the world knows it. So what I'm saying is, although it's nice to have a definition, you cant request a definition then expect everyone else to know your own culture. If you want to continue talking about it you can PM me, since it's not nice to debate such a subject in a thread thats supposed to be about celebration.

Happy Eid again to everyone
