I reackon i've had mine for 18months, dropped it around 10 times that i count as good drops (made phone soft reboot, one time split cover from side piece about half a millimeter etc)
Joystick started failing at 10months
Camera started failing about 4 months ago
(joystick problem comes and goes, its just crap under the contacts, can fix it with some light compressed air)

so, the better option is to get them checked in a service center or wherever. or you can easily buy a new phone and take care of it.
