Virus' are generally caught by idiots, people that have no clue and those that try and download things for free.

In my 14 years on the internet and previous time spent on BBS i have not once had a virus infect my system.....well not one that I have not deliberately grabbed in order to reverse engineer.

So people out there...use some common sense.

Well in about 5 minutes from now the big V is due to strike our PC's..what makes me angry is that microsoft has said that it won't issue any advance fix,get this..until friday.

It's a little hard for microsoft to advance fix "user stupidity"

This sort of virus isn't anything new either.

Even if it is user stupidity sometimes we open things accidently that we are not supposed to open,cant be on our toes for viruses now all the time can we?

Besides its MS's responsibility to close all vunerabilitys.

i got the dreaded blue screen apear on my laptop at about five past midnight and had to shut down! thought i had got this and was about to get VERY as i was in the middle of writting a presentation for tomorrow. But booted computer back up and autorecovery luckily had done it's thing and all seems fine now - phew!
