> Which bluetooth PC card to buy ?

To Epedemic:
Most of the Bluetooth cards including 3Com are supposed to be firmware upgradeable. It is possible to add new profiles through updated firmware. Unfortunately, nobody knows when these companies are likely to announce new firmware for their products.
It's really surprising that the web pages
devoted to these Blutooth cards don't say much about the profiles and consequent compatibility issues.

Buy whatever you want but NOT A TOSHIBA card.
It it made by DIGIANSWER and it sucks.
No way to use it with W2k and the T68 to syncronise contacts and calendar.
The devices pair OK but thats about it.

The current TDK Bluetooth card doesn't seem to have XP drivers. It doesn't support the "Headset profile" either. The card is available from Expansys.

I found a UK based website, which sells the Troy Windport Bluetooth PC card. They exclusively sell Bluetooth products. I think they ship worldwide. However, the prices seem to be exhorbitant. You can buy two cards in the US for the price of one card in the UK.

I just hope that Expansys would offer the Troy card soon at a reasonable price. Cheers.

To Owizard:
Thanks for the info - I'll check the Troy card out - If this card works it'll be worth the extra money.
To sum it up - I need tha blutooth pc card to:
1. work in WIN XP pro
2. Work together with T68 so I can surf the internet on my notebook
3. Synchronize with t68
4. tranfer files btw. T68 and my notebook
To Jan:
Hey Jan,
I've looking around for the TDK card - but can't seem to find it anywhere on the net.
But I'm still not sure if the TDK bluetooth pc card will be able to do what I want it to do. Maybe the Troy card is a safer buy.

Hi Claus,
I think that the best Bluetooth card is from TDK. I have had no problems with it !
OK Jeaper - but exactly WHERE can I get this PC card - and for how much ?
I thought Xircom would be the best choice - and I can get it for only 1350 D.kr.
How large is the antenna on the TDK card ?
Does it work flawlessly with T68 and Win XP ?
Private message to Jesper in Danish:
Besøger du også
http://www.mobildebat.dk - hvor vi er et par stykker, der diskuterer T68 og andre mobiltelefoner ?
Private massege to Claus in Danish
Hej Claus,
Kortet har jeg købt via en samarbejdspartner vi har. Jeg ved ikke hvor de har købt det men prisen var omkring 1200.- Hvis du stadig er i markedet efter kortet kan jeg finde ud af hvor det er købt

I have a T68 and a TDK bluetooth usb adaptor.
I also have Win XP.
I installed the TDK on the XP software and it works. The only problem you have when you install it is that you get a number of messages saying that it is not compliant with win xp , still it works with XP.
You can surf the web with your T68 and synchronise with your T68.
I found mine on

Hey Jesper - In danish:
