exactly! what is SE thinking to not include a2dp profile in their Walkman branded phone?? unless they are using some kind of weird bluetooth hardware configuration.. I dont see why they cant include a2dp

@BUFFBOY- for the purpost of this thread, it's the stuff that lets you listen to stereo music via a bluetooth headset. Apparently no one around here can confirm if it is hardware-dependent (which means we're out of luck, since W810 hardware has been finalised waay earlier before it was released), software-dependent (which means we can get it in a future firmware update), or both (read the remainder of this post!)
I posted this on another thread i started, but what the hell. it fits right in here too!
One interesting thing to note is that the W810 has bluetooth 2.0 - yet no mention of A2DP. Does this tell us that the actual bluetooth module in the phone is different from that of the K750/W800 (which had 1.2) - and that a firmware update may/may not give it the necessary A2D profile, with

given the right amount of pushing? I mean, why would

even bother to upgrade it to BT 2.0 only for the sole purpose of upgrading it (better compatibility with newer

phones with BT 2.0 an A2DP? an iffy proposition, imo), if the W810 was posed as a minor upgrade to the W800 in the first place?

so how should we do this "pushing" i think Se porobably needs ALOT of pushing to do this

the greatest push

can get is poor w810 sales- that they'll have to convince people that there's more to it than 850 and edge. but of course we all know that's far from happening. people are picking it up as if 80% of it isnt last year's technology

Wait a minute, I didn't know W810 had BT 2.0, that really gives the advantage or possibility that it may include AD2P.
Now that makes me buy the w810 even more.

check out the latest whitepapers for w800 and w810 - both actually say they're manufactured to comply with the 2.0 specifications, but in gsmarena, it says w800 has 1.2 while w810 has 2.0

wait, so does this mean a2dp can be added to w800 via a fw update later on?

i think a2dp can be added purely by software.
however there would need to be quite a significant chunk of free space in flash memory fot this addition.
