Yeah Mike, I wholeheartedley agree, I didnt see the link til after we had a deal, when I did there was no bids! spookily enough, he didnt remove the item after I pointed it out to him and he got another tenner or so for it..... leaves a bitter taste in the mouth.
I`m a honourable man and would have stuck with deal if the roles were reversed. It does make it difficult for anyone trying to sell on here this affair just creates a cloud of suspicion for potential buyers

Just to show my side of the story....yes I agree with you in certain aspects but you sent payment on a Friday night just as I was about to go out for the evning so didnt have the chance to cancel the auction. My fault I know but I work hard enough all week to be allowed to switch my mind off for the night,

Secondly I DIDNT sell the phone to the ebay buyer, I emailed them and honestly said what had happened, that I "double sold" the phone by mistake, and told them I would have to refund them seeing as otherwise one person would be disappointed. You didnt really mention that part

I certainly didnt make a tenner.

Paypal fees - £3.65
Ebay listing fees and final sellers fees - approx £4

Refunding your paypal fees approx £2, so I lost out approx £9-10 on a £30 phone just so I could "do the right thing and be fair"

Unfortunate circumstance and apologies if you think I have been unjust on you, but have merely tried to act professionally to both parties, null all sales.

JJ

Why refund him paypal fees of £2?
If you do the payback as a straight refund out of the money paid in then everybody gets refunded their full amount.
Paypal refund the seller the fees and the original amount goes back to the buyers card/balance.
The only time fees would be involved is if it was done as a payment rather than a refund.

I allow 10% selling on ebay for listing, final fee and paypal so I dunno where you got those figures from.

On a business account you can only refund direct if the funds are still in your paypal account.

Mods please close this now, item is no longer for sale. Thanks
