The best thing when experimenting is to SEND a file thru Bt when u r so far away( 35 meters) rather than looking at the phone and see that's connected. Not entirely correct: u might not be able to send or receive anything.

not strictly true. when i experimented with distances further than 10m on my phone, my K700i was still working fine. I think i managed to get as far as 35m without the connection breaking up, and that was through a couple of walls.
I tested with both my 100M dongles, neither can transfer files to my phone from more than 10-12 metres. 35 Metres is a fair bit short of 100M.
