if you put the battery in the phone when it is wet, it will fry the board (theoretically)- basically dirt will build up on contacts and cause short circuits. the best thing you can do is leave it for a day or tw0, try opening it up perhaps?


your battery might well be flat, do you have a voltmeter?

Same thing happened to my wifes K508; my son got hold of it & dropped it down the pan while she was cleaning the bathroom
It's been sitting on the rad in bits for 2 days, I haven't plucked up the courage to turn it on yet!

Not really, I cant think of anyone thats got one off to top of my head, but im sure i will get one somewhere.

Would be safe to try and charge it later on in the day? I droped it down the toilet friday night, so its almost been 2 days.

Iv taken the covers etc, you can see what iv done to it from the picture on page 1. Its been sitting on my desk, the house is pretty warm.

I do hope it is the battery, boss isnt going to be to happy. Now, i need an excuse ... any ideas?

They have done so! Check out the Nokia 5*** series. Their most recent was the 5140i I think.
