since most of the good tips have already been mentioned, let me add another one: never use the digital zoom. it won't make your picture any better. try to be as near to your object as possible so that you won't use the zoom.

Unless you use the latest firmware R1BC002, which seems to address the issue, take in account that the picture is actually taken a little after you hear the shutter sound, so better keep the phone steady for a second or two after the shutter sound (or until the word "saving" appears as mentioned earlier in this post by etaab. Sorry, etaab I just noticed you said it before but this is really a very important point). I got very funny pictures when I started using the w800i camera.

When talking aout taking pictures of people in strong sunlight, it is probably best if you don't have the sun directly behind or in front of the subject. If the person is directly facing the sun he/she will most probably be squinting and that doesn't make for a very nice picture. The best comprimise is to turn on the flash (as already said) if possible and make the subject on a 45 degree angle towards the sun.

Another one which goes for all digital cameras: never take a picture of the Sun itself too much since you will burn your CCD.

@jan - I am having my 4th K750 at present . . . even sold my K800 then and got me another - K750. I am advising you to get an optional attachment accessory - the MXE-60 Xenon Flash. It's very useful when taking images at NIGHT, specially INDOORS . . .
