does not look that cheap.. correct me if i am wrong
you pay for this software.. to be enable to send "cheap" sms for 0.10€ and use IM programs that are build in this application??
but you still have to pay your operator the gprs traffic and monthly fee, and calls... where is the thing that's so good?
i don't get it

With Getaboo you can send Emails and SMS too, what isn't possibile with the other applications. Since I use a lot of sms I bought the Getaboo 200 Package, where I only pay € 0.07 per sms instead of 0.14 that I pay with Vodafone Italia. If I consider how many Instant Messages I can send, I believe that € 4.99 isn't that expansive even though I hope they will lower the price to 3.99 or something like that. But I rather prefer to pay more than to buy 35 dollars (Shape) for a messenger that even doesn't work properly on my P910i.
Conclusion: Quality has it's price. (My Opinion)
Btw. Im not doing and plug here for Getaboo. I'm simply crazy for IM Applications and tested many of them out. That's it. Didn't want to bother anybody.

well...just got Getaboo on my K500 mobile...had problems with my GPRS settings...but got them by sms from my mobile operator.
im using mostly Yahoo Chat...Sending E-Mails is also a good thing.
Im not a fan of sms though...but earned 75 free sms for 3 friends that i convinced to subscribe for getaboo...They even have a Sony Ericsson on their website to watch a flash manual movie.

It is not only a question of gprs-settings. also the java-internet access must be enabled in ur java settings. but that depends on ur phone. with my P910 everything was already pre-configured (Vodafone Italia).
Hunting for new subscribers within my friends here in italy to earn hundreds of free sms!!

hi orazio...thanks for ur advices...the setting problems with grps arent a problem with the new phone...my gf bought yesterday K750 too (what else than sony ericsson mobiles!!!!) and getaboo worked without problem...i have asked the sales man at the t-mobile store...he told me that all mobiles that u buy now r automatically configured for gprs and internet over mobile use...
does getaboo only work on sony ericsson phones? how is the sony ericsson market in italy?

No wonder Getaboo sees Sony Ericsson as a benchmark for its Mobile Application! btw. the prices for sms came down. They are now between 0.06 - 0.08, much better. Even though I'm using my Yahoo Chat.
How about the data consumption? Did u check it already?

After downloading my buddies of msn icq and aim, sending 10 msg, i came to conclusion that Getaboo has a really low consumption. 28 kb only for all that. that's really nothing.
