my typical comment
when have nokia see the red in their profit balance sheet? almost none even on the year of 2003 when SE come back with T610 and the strong emergence of Samsung and LG...it only make a small decrease for nokia profit
SE have been in the red from 2001 until 2003 2nd half....I didn't check the detail yet but if not mistaken....the profit gain in 2004 and 2005 might be able to cover losses from 2001 when SE was formed
IF we have to cover the losses in E/// time....SE is still in a very weak financial position to go on and make huge volume like nokia
Remember...huge volume need huge investment...if you make a mistake...there goes the investment...designing a product is not just only focus on design...you need the whole picture.
Again give SE time. They have one of the best advantage for UMTS devices....tht is the ability to access to hard ware thru ericsson...one of the biggest UMTS equipment maker and they have access to Sony world of digital content (games...movie...music)
BUT again.....money is needed to drive things.
I can see tht SE is coming out more UMTS than what they previously did.
it just show how much $ influence them...with profit...they are able to invest for new phone...tht's why you see 11 model announced just for the first 3 months of 2006

@wilson indded, a forne usage is always individual, but i ment more the fact, that se lost for example in austria the interest of the ppl, for example "3" isnt going to offer here the se models in the next future, k608i was a flop.

The k608 and i IS one of the cheapest 3G phones around.It's not a flop but a full package for a small price.

It is obvious that the Se phone are a bit cheaper compared to Blokia. And that does not mean that their fone are not durable or they are not up to date but that also is the stratege or a mean to conquer the worlds fone market.
