I don't like itap, i personally prefer t9 predictive text input. For me you can't beat a nokia for texting. Having said this the v600 is a good phone - shame they couldn't just implement t9 instead of coming up with their own texting facility.

much better then multitap,

i dont know how i lived without T9.

the best T9 by far is that on a 6230. can whack out a full 160 chars in no more than 15 secs,

The new Itap seems to be very good...it tries to guess the word as you type the letters just like in word/excel...

never tried moto's itap, but ezitap that was on the /// r600 really was a pain in the back side! glad they saw sense and went with t9.

Well,if motorola would use t9 instead of itap,they'd have to pay royalities for it.So they've developed this one and if others wanna use it they have to pay for it.That's the business there days;-) I also think t9 is better. This message was posted from a T610
