Shame that its bottlenecked to 150MB/s.
and you simply cant leave it like a hdd, sucker needs lot of power.

Startup and search times mean absolutely nothing about the power/speed of a computer. Startup depends on the speed, size, partitions of the hard drive(s) and how many device drivers are needed to load on the computer. Search depends on the speed and size of the hard drive. It looks to me like the computer is simply using SSD (Solid State Drives), which although allow RAM like access to files on the hard drive (pretty much they are hard drives that work like RAM, meaning opening things are pretty much instant as it doesnt need to look through a spinning disk). This means nothing, and SSD disks are expensive as well as limited (they don't work well for most applications).

To sum up, don't try talking about what you do not know about, that video shows nothing. I'd like to see some benchmarks to prove speed.

Oh, and my laptop easily beats the best G5 mac out there!

(4 GB RAM, FX-60 processor, 7800 GTX GPU...)

Macs suck and 16 GB of RAM is useless at this point in time unless you are running a server, in which case PC servers have gone up to 40GB of RAM, maybe more I'm not too sure. For an experienced user, matching the price of any respective mac, you can make a better PC. The best Workstation or Gaming PC easily beats the best Mac.

Mac are for people who are too lazy to choose, and who like a limited software experience

wasn't tryin to claim i knew shit about computers! I don't and never have pretended to have any more than 'adequate operating knowledge' when it comes to pc's.

simply posted the video because i was impressed with the speeds it showed! I don't particularly care wether or not it was acheived in a practical manner and i assumed that the system was most likely setup in a way that would not be suitable for everyday use. But netherless I was impressed with the speed demonstrated.

You might wanna click the "more info" link on the previous page, there's a review there including a hd-tach benchmark....apparently the drive's only bottleneck is the sata bandwidth limit of 150MB/s

It pwns all hdd's in random access times and transfer rates.
I hope they'll come with a new version with sata 2 ,with ddr2 support.
