yes,i use IR myself.much easier and didnt cost me anything coz my laptop has it.money saved..

all ir ports have bundled software to install the drivers. some even come with logo design and ringtone composing software (but only compatible with nokia phones). Ir is also better as many people have problems syncing by bluetooth.

Hi there,

been to sim lim to check out some IR ports for the PC. I noticed that they dun come with any bundled software at all.. just the port and USB cable... What brands of IR ports comes with bundled software?

BTW, is it really possible to send pictures using the datacable? I am using a parellel port datacable. I onli know it can syn with outlook.

If you are lucky, you find irda adapter price not much different than data cable. Just use any generic irda (SIR or HPSIR compatible), it is more worth. I bet you will not regret. This post was posted from a T68i

the drivers are hardware dependent. You must check with the company's website. I bought mine from a shop at causeway point.
