I've just checked the stats on gsmarena.
No mention of Bluetooth in the initial specs, but one poster there has mentioned that the GSM model has Bluetooth and the CDMA model hasn't; not that I would always rely on info placed in the 'opinions' sections on gsmarena...

LG = Shitty quality and bad apps imo. One thing that really pissed me of was that the e-mail client in both the LG-U8xxx phones I have owned didnt have any auto-check mailbox function. I wonder if they have changed that in their latest phones.

Seems that the Bluetooth question on this handset is now clarified in the link below by celltech.
Hope the identified lack of keypad lighting is sorted, or hopefully just a one-off problem here...
