The Specs are as follows:
You may also have heard of the
Samsung Q1 (A.k.a Oragami)? It is also a device along the same lines.
It has the following specs:
Processor Intel Celeron M ULV (900MHz)
Chipset & Graphics 915 GMS Internal GFX
Memory 1 SODIMM Socket, DDRII 400
PCB 10L Build up PCB
LCD 7” WVGA (800 x 480)
Audio Phone out, 2 Array Mic, 2 x 2W Stereo Speakers
Storage 1.8” SFF HDD 20~60 GB
Communications 10/100 Ethernet, Mini card WLAN (802.11 b/g), Bluetooth
Multimedia Multimedia Instant On
I/O Port Phone out, DC-in, CF Card slot (Type 2), RJ45, 2 USB, VGA
User Interface 8 Way Stick, 4 User Key, 3 button (Auto Scale/ Enter/Menu), Hold, Volume Up/Down, Power/MIO, CAD
Battery 3.5Hrs Standard Battery, Over 1.40 Hrs DVD Playback
Dimension 227.5 x 139.5 x 24.5~26.5 mm
Weight 779g (w/o ODD)
At first I really wanted to go for the samsung, but i was deterred by the following points:
1) The samsung was heavier, It weighs 779g, while the Sony weighed 550g
2) The samsung is larger, it is 227.5 x 139.5 x 24.5~26.5 mm, whereas the sony is 167mm × 108mm × 26.4mm, that IMO is much smaller.
3) The samsung has a 800x480 screen, which is unusual, and (IMO) will not support/display many apps properly. The sony on the other hand has a standard 800x600 screen.
Since most other specs are the same, the sony was worth the extra $400.
