Yep a work colleague has just got a w800 and it hisses quite a lot not really good enough

add in the W550 features like copy-paste blocks of text, profile switching using the power button, ability to mark messages as unread and it just makes usability a lot more easier...

i really liked the new UI. i agree that this is just a minor upgrade for the already fabulous k750/w800 phone. k800 would be the next major upgrade for the k series.

What makes it such a big deal in the W810i? Just curious.

Lets face reality here. The W810 is nothing more than a face lift of the W800 with a light sensor added. Whoppy-de-do-dah! I note comments about the silver on the dpad allowing light through. No surprise here - my K500 did this thanks to scratch on the surrounding of the joystick. It's probably nothing more than silver painted clear plastic - a common cost cutting trait amongst many manufacturers. The rest of phone is very much the same. The centre part is probably identical! I'll stick to my W800 with lens cover.

guys there are no major changes in this phone..
the only reasons you would want this are because
you have money to waste
you can get it cheap
you need 850/edge
you didn't spend money on the k750/w800
you want the better screen, updated UI and like the dpad and keypad better.

The reason for me to sell my w800i was that i always hated the orange/white colour scheme. The black and orange togher look really good. Plus the buttons and 'joystick' look better. Thats the advantage for me. And the new themes which use flash look much better too.
