Yes it can, and apparently you'll see things on the PSP's screen that relate to the game, such as a rev counter if you're playing Gran Turismo.

No i dont have a source, but i did read it ages and ages ago when the PS3 was first announced, and that the PSP could be used in such a way if developers wanted.

What load times ? we're talking about the PSP here, it has Wi-Fi, simple on-screen things like that could be streamed to the PSP by the PS3 incredibly quickly.

if it was going to be something very graphically simple then I'd assume yes there wouldn't be any load times.
However every multi wifi game I've played PSP to PSP has loading time when transfering content.

Time will tell, but i expect if it does happen, it'll either be streamed to the PSP screen OR it'll be sent once by the PS3 to the PSP, and then stored on the memory stick so in future, it'll load itself in pretty quickly without the PSP needing to send anything.
