Ya i was going 2 get a black cover and get that done but decided not to cos the cover i have now has some small scratches on it and i will have 2 buy a new cover if i come 2 selling it so saves me having to buy 2.
I got it done at an engraving place at Bond Street tube station as i got a braclet engraved from there for xmas from a friend. It only cost 80p per letter but i had 2 pay a £10 minimum charge for the 8800 incase anything went wrong.

Hang on,
you had to pay if anything went wrong :S could you not have just given them the battery cover, then they might not have charged you that? It looks great though, i'm going for something similar

Lol no i mean he charged a minimum of £10 not the normal 80p per letter incase somthing went wrong. come to think of it i could have just given him the battery cover lol
The black cover ur getting is it just covered in black or is it all black?
Edit: that really dont make any sence lol.
What im asking is once its done will the engraved writing come out black or silver?

Lol good question, i'm hoping silver, or a different shade of black if you know what I mean, if it scratches the finish it'll be visible
I'm deffo doing it on black though, If I come to sell the phone i'll pop the original cover back on, this way when I get my hands on a black 8800 i'm set

Ya silver or a differnt shade of black will look nice.
I should have got a black cover as soon as i got the 8800 and kept the origial cover scratch free.
Where did u get the black cover from?

Got the battery cover off ebay, should arrive soon
I got a question, when ever I slide the screen back down it asks me to lock the keypad or not, any idea how to get rid of this message? It never came up on the 8800 I had before

Is it a original battery cover?
It could be the automatic keyguard.
When you close the screen does it say Lock on the left key and cancel on the right key?
