the phones I have got as PAYG from O2 online have always had minimal o2 branding (startup/shutdown etc) and were locked

the one phone I got from O2 online on contract was minimal branding too but unlocked

its no different than unlocking phones bought elsewhere

I unlocked the 2 Z520's I got from there using davinci but you need to buy an unlocking cable from them or someone else

Changed the title, as while on my lunch hour today, I paid my local CPW in East Ham, east London, a visit.
I saw the Z530i in their latest catalogue and asked one of the sales guys to check availability/ stock.
It IS available and according to him they have ample stock in the back of the shop!
Now then, the CPW PAYG stock, as we know, is unlocked and basically sim-free.
Secondly, only £89.99 on O2 wbw £10 airtime... thus unlocked/sim-free and a tenner's worth of airtime from CPW for the same price as the O2 site's network-locked examples... RESULT!
