it took me about 1 hour...and I ended up breaking the sliding lock switch mechanism.
the internal switch is very delicate.

I lost the lens cover spring. It poinged out of the housing, bounced off the ceiling, then a wall and god knows where it landed.
Then, 20 mins after I stopped crawling around on the floor like a cat, searching for it, I just happened to look down and there it was
Just some info for anyone attempting this:
The screen is not scratchproof glass but toughened plastic. For some reason I thought it was glass.
Use the best quality mini-screwdriver you can find. I went through two sets trying to screw the housing back together as the fitting was just two tight. I eventually dipped the screws in some lubricant to get them in.
I noticed that if you do lose the tiny (4mm long) lens cover spring, the dummy S710 phone, available on ebay cheap, does actually have this inside. You can also use the camera button, lock key, infrared cover, volume buttons and port cover, the rub plates and lens cover mechanism, but not the silver lens surround. You probably can use the screen too.
I had a nightmare replacing the lens cover spring as it was so small. It actually sits on its own black housing which makes it more fiddly. I dipped the bottom of the spring in super- glue before sitting it on its housing, this was incase it poinged off again, plus it made the job a lot easier.
All in all I thought the job was complex, with lots of fiddly bits. I can see why the phone was expensive when it came out, with the 2 PCBs, mechanically its like 2 phones in one and it not easy putting something like that together.
So keep your hands cold and dry when doing this one!

Yeah they are almost, I can't seem much difference really.
The problem is, you can get W900i housings which look really good, in black and silver/grey.
However, no-one sells the keypads with them, so if you have a white W900i you would would be stuck with a black or silver phone with a white keypad,
Just have to wait I suppose.
