@JJ The covers are REALLY simple to change, then the thing is the one that was on the phone had a big dent in it (hi a table edge when in my pocket) and this was on the bottom bit, so when i tried pulling it off it was pulling the ribbon part too as the dent was pressed against it.
@Amnesia lol you've taken some apart I know, and if you check the bit that's messed up on my pic, the things about 2mm small and puttin foil on will be a nightmare!
I do have a 8800 that was run over my a van somewhere, I'll try the ribbon from that to see if that one still works, if not... i'll pay a visit to
www.cnn.cn and get one, anyone know how long delivery would be?

When things just work its great but nowadays its more often than not that things don't just work. PCs, Phones, TVs Cars everything is getting more complicated.
